
The City of Stonnington are embarking on a biodiversity improvements project at Glen Iris wetlands, including revegetation and removal of sediment.

The KooyongKoot Alliance (KKA), were successful with their application to the State Government’s Green Links grant program.

The GCRC are working collaboratively to undertake a catchment-scale litter assessment. The project is being undertaken in two phases with an initial assessment on litter source generation completed in January.

The Collaboration are working with community groups, Melbourne Water, local councils and research bodies (including Melbourne University and Deakin University), to develop community-led monitoring programs focussing on water quality, and native fauna (including frogs, macroinvertebrates and birds).

The GCRC are working collaboratively with the CSIRO on a pilot litter monitor project using cameras on waterways to monitor litter flowing down through the catchment.
